Question 1

Is CheckMyDate a background check?

Accepted Answer

No. Checks are generated from public web search — not a certified background check. We compile publicly available information into an easy-to-read report. Full limitations at checkmydate.com.au/about.

Question 2

Can someone see that I searched them?

Accepted Answer

No. Your searches are private. The person you check is never notified that a search was performed.

Question 3

Is my search private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your searches are not shared, and you can delete your account and full history at any time.

Question 4

What information is searched?

Accepted Answer

Public dating profiles, social media, news and media mentions, public records, professional profiles, and reverse image search on the photos you upload.

Question 5

Why wasn't someone found?

Accepted Answer

If someone has a small online footprint, limited social presence, or a very common name, fewer results surface. No records found doesn't mean none exist — only that nothing appeared in public search.

Question 6

How accurate are the results?

Accepted Answer

Results are generated from public web search and may be incomplete or outdated. We show what search surfaced — and what it didn't. They're a starting point for your own judgement, not a guarantee.

Question 7

Is my first report really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your first report is free, and no credit card is required to start.

Question 8

How much do additional reports cost?

Accepted Answer

Additional reports are $3.99 AUD each, with the same features as your first report.
